Solead is an expert in building and running software products for tech startups. We understand the differences between startups and other types of business, and offer a unique service model designed for emerging companies both at the seed and startup stages.

Our SPL model is geared towards taking on most of the technical responsibilities in the areas of design, implementation, deployment, as well as maintenance of an MVP solution for a tech startup. Solead dives very deeply into the startup’s business concept to achieve a complete understanding of what, why and how it should be built. The client’s team combined with Solead’s experts synergize common output and maximize total value.

Besides primary MVP design and development, Solead can create and validate POCs, elaborate business requirements, build product plans and feature maps, evaluate and suggest a tech stack, prepare and deliver tech presentations, and manage the entire development process. If needed, Solead can even perform as the startup’s CTO and take responsibility for all related duties.

We realize that most startups are constrained by budget and cannot afford hiring a dedicated team of full-time professionals. Our SPL model addresses this constraint by using our professionals on a per task basis with billing for delivered value only. With a pool of versatile IT experts, we are able to cover all the technical needs of most startups in a very cost effective way.

Our SPL model assumes Agile development with focus on short iterations, intense collaboration, and reaction to changes. Our workhours can be adjusted or extended to match those of the startup. We encourage active communication between Solead’s team and the client’s team.

After the startup successfully moves to the growth stage or beyond, we are happy to offer and deploy our next service model – the Dedicated Managed Team.

 

In the DMT model, Solead provides a team of dedicated software engineers that serves the client’s requirements and project needs. This team can work on the client’s projects independently or within a global team. Solead can easily scale up or scale down its team based on the client’s situation.

Our DMT model assumes the presence of local team management on Solead’s end to make remote work as efficient as possible and free the client from routine staff management duties. The team management service is included into our regular rates.

Working with Solead, the client gets much more than a group of software engineers. We select team members carefully based on their hard and soft skills. Whenever possible, we try to select engineers who know each other and have worked together. Thus, the client gets a well-tuned dedicated team, well-matched for their project needs.

Our DMT model is mostly targeted at small and medium businesses in various industries. Although Solead has expertise in many industries, we always suggest starting with a small team or even with a single specialist, and then gradually growing to optimize the project knowledge ramp-up. This way, our initial engineers train our next engineers, while the client can focus on more substantial tasks.

Our billing for the DMT model is based on the delivered and approved work and uses hourly or monthly rates. Our rates depend on the engineer’s seniority level, technology profile, and the team structure. Due to Solead’s streamlined structure, we are in a position to offer much better rates than bigger competitors with bloated management and other overheads.

Our technology experts are here to help our clients with the most complex technical tasks, such as technology evaluation for the next product, audit of an existing software solution, prototyping of a challenging technical idea, and more.

Our ITC service model assumes a short-term involvement of our professionals into the client’s project. In most cases, ITC projects don’t require a big team and can be done by one or two senior-level professionals. That’s why, in the ITC model, we use only highly experienced experts with advanced communication skills.

A typical outcome of an ITC project is a comprehensive report with findings, conclusions, and suggestions. Some ITC projects can produce working code, a data model, or other artifacts. Solead professionals can deliver presentations to the client’s management, participate in Q&A sessions, and contribute to collective brainstorming, online or onsite.

In many cases, the ITC model may require the onsite presence of our experts to access the client’s systems and/or specialists. To optimize the ITC project cost, we minimize onsite engagement only to the most essential meetings and activities, and performmost of the job on the Solead side.

We bill hourly for our ITC services and do not require a minimum work time. While ITC services are not the lowest rates, we usually charge less than local IT consulting rates on the client side.

Often, the ITC model is a gateway to bigger projects. In this case, Solead can offer our Dedicated Managed Team or Startup Product Launch models.
